what automation system are you using?
RadioDJ, but probably unimportant unless you were think of some sort of
automation.
This RadioDJ or something else:

If this one, I am unfamiliar with it but I do see it mentions an integrated
cart wall. That is a piece of a possible solution I am wondering about. The
other bit would be what is called macro carts in the automation we
currently use. (The ability of a cart to run a shell script in particular,
think bat file.)
See the buttons on the right?

imagine each was a cart in a cart wall. Audio or macro. Once you associate
a particular cart with a particular button, anytime you click the button,
the card plays or runs.
I am thinking a shell script / bat file for each far end openob. Click on
the cart you want, all of the other openob users get disconnected and the
one you want gets connected.
It could be done outside of the integrated cart wall by having icons to the
shell scripts / bat files on the desktop and running them from there. It is
just that it would be a bit easier for desktop icons to get rearranged,
moved, or lost than carts in your cart wall...
